So my friend Kaze was showing me a youtube on a laptop at the mouth of Meylston lane (which is vaguely where I live) and as we were watching it, I sort of got drawn into the youtube clip itself which made for a rather interesting trasition between dreams.
The clip was of Dracula or Alucard drinking from some poor chick's neck. When he realized I was looking over his shoulder, he turned and glared at me snarling, "Do you mind?" I apologized awkwardly and wandered around the room idly. It was a very nice, very roomy hotel room with a large window on one side that reached from the floor to the very high ceiling. Moonlight was coming through it making odd shadows on the floor as Alucard gnawed on said chick.
Later in the dining hall, Alucard was challenging his fellow vampires to a green Jello-eating contest. He was winning but then news broke that the enemy vampire army of ghouls was approaching. His apparent second-in-command was franticly begging him to take action but all Alucard said was,
"I'm almost done..." and continued eating his Jello.
The ghouls started smashing through the windows and attacking us but Alucard was still eating Jello. I tapped him on the shoulder gingerly and said, "D'ye think maybe you should do something?"
Alucard sighed and said, "Fiiine."
The shadows around the room took on a life of their own and began brutally attacking the ghouls... there was blood and guts and dismembered limbs flying in every direction. I got spattered in blood. When it was all over, Alucard sat back down and resumed eating his Jello, pointing his spoon at the rest of us, "Anyone else?" Apparently there were no takers for the eating contest.
I wandered out into the hallway to escape all this madness but then the floor turned into a sort of slope which I slipped on and then slid down all the way into a pool of water. It was like someone had wrinkled the linoleum hallway and then filled it with water. It was rather bothersome because I felt like I was drowning but then I remembered I was a vampire... and didn't need air.
Then I woke up.
This blog was started so I would have a place to archive my dreams and track my progress as far as lucid dreaming, dealing with sleep paralysis, and just my weird romps through dreamland. Obviously, I won't post every detail or every dream as dreams are very personal things but seeing as I've always been a very vivid dreamer I wanted to share some of them. Enjoy my... mindless ramblings...

Tyrion, you handsome devil
Had an awesome Game of Thrones dream...
So I was wandering around in a whorehouse (best first line ever) and all these girls were propostioning me which was awkward as they were in various states of undress. They also had mask-like faces which were painted like china dolls. I kept awkwardly refusing them because I was poor and frankly they were sort of creepy with their masks. I heard a voice and the sea of boobies parted revealing Tyrion lounging on some pillows with one masked beauty at his feet and another draped over his shoulder.
"Treat the lad to a bath." He watched them undress me and get into the tub. As I awkwardly sat in the tub and allowed them to scrub me.
We talked for a while.
Tyrion said, "You look weary. Back from the war, solider?"
I replied, "Yes." and then I looked at the bath water and it was indeed filthy.
"I see, well you can stay here for the night,"
"Thank you, sir--"
"on one condition; you share my bed."
Hardest decision of my life, really. Took me 2 seconds to decide, "Oh hells yes." What? He's a sexy man and I absolutely love his character's personality and kindness to other "misfits" but that's beside the point...
He eventually asked me why I left the army and I told him it was because I wasn't good enough and they'd all be better off without me. Then he said,
"Is that why you ran away from home too?"
I remember that struck a nerve. I've never felt so naked before, ever... both literally and figuratively.
Then he said, "It's alright, I -see- you and you are good enough..." then his voice changed from sincere to raunchy, "... deeeefinitely good enough." So I splashed him and we laughed. It was great.
Then apparently the whorehouse/tavern had caught fire and there were enemy soliders attacking the town. I scrambled for my sword and jumped in front of Tyrion just as they burst through the door. They rushed us and I kept them at bay... even buck nekkid. I killed them all but more were coming. I headed for the door but Tyrion shouted,
"Are you going to fight a war without your pants on?!"
I replied, "Priorities!" meaning that I didn't have time to get dressed.
Tyrion grabbed my pants and then my hand, pulling me with him as we headed for the back door. When I tried to protest he only said, "Priorities!"
We snuck into a loft in another building and I managed to get dressed. I was about to head back out and fight. Tyrion called after me, "Why? Why must you fight?"
So I smiled and said, "So I have something to come back to." Then winked and headed into BATTLE!
I was slicing through them like no one's business. I remember some of my moves came from The Witcher PC game, mostly the power ups. I picked up a lighter enemy sword and used both, spinning and dancing and slicing and when my arm got tired, I dropped my heavier sword and used my free hand to chuck anything with in reach at the enemy. I believe I hit a dude in the head with a bucket of milk at one point.
After the big battle and the enemy batalion being destroyed by me and a few angry farmers with crude weapons, I went back to the loft and all but collapsed on the hay near Tyrion. He was delightfully snarky as ever,
"Welcome home, Honey. Rough day at work?"
"Shut up. Although I do need a drink. There's a wine stall outside that's still in tact."
"I'll come with you."
So we went to the stall which was more like a lemonade stand but it was totally lemonade wine. I was going to purchase my own bottle eventhough I was sort of afraid they'd card me but then Tyrion went ahead and bought me a few bottles. "A Lanister always pays his debts."
And then talked some more as we enjoyed our lemonade wine in the middle of a burning village but the dream faded and got progressively more wonky.

Beam me up, Scotty!
Monday 24th
So... somehow I ended up on the bridge of the USS Starship Enterprise. Instantly had a phazer or two aimed at me and I had to explain to Captain Kirk who I was and how I got there... which I honestly had no idea but I felt like I was late for class so I politely said, "Excuse me, sir." and left through the sliding door.
I proceeded down the long hallway, my arms full of binders and books, until I came to my old Math Class and took a seat. I then had to explain to my math teacher (who was a hardass) why I was late... he began to reprimand me and, as most school-anxiety dreams go, the rest of the class began to make fun of me because (of course) I had apparently forgotten to get dressed before coming to school (because that could totally happen in real life), however, instead of whimpering in shame when I realized I was buck nekkid, I got up and pushed over his desk sending papers flying everywhere. Effectively giving my teacher the finger, I then sauntered out and went back through the sliding doors to the Starship Enterprise.
When everyone on the bridge looked up I smirked and put my hands on my hips.
"Could someone lend me a uniform?"

The Ghosts of Late October's Past
Friday 21-Saturday 22
Couldn't sleep so I wandered downstairs and dicked about the internets for a while getting gradually more tipsy as the night went on (hey, man, it was the weekend) and then wandered back upstairs. After what was a rather lovely evening I drifted off to sleeps and then was met with a series of unpleasant dreams. They were all so vivid and were all in the same setting so I wasn't really sure a few times if I was actually dreaming or if what was happening was real. Dragged my feet on posting this one too and I think I'll leave out some things.
These all took place in my room.
1. My Mother
Came into my room and began yelling at me about having people over. She was screaming at me but I was unable to answer or even move. I'm beginning to wonder if this was a paralysis dream because of how vivid it was and how I was unable to move or breathe properly. In reality she has never screamed at me like that. It was awful. It was like a running list of all the times I knew I had disappointed her or done something dumb but hearing her call me on every single little thing really kinda tore me up.
I twitched awake, still in my room.
2. My Friends (This was more like four smaller separate dreams as four of my friends made an appearance at different times, I just didn't want to use names).
They came to me one by one and were angry with me that I hadn't been a good friend to them, that I hadn't been there for them when they needed me, and that I was constantly dumping my problems on them. These were people I consider fairly close to me so I felt awful hearing all the things I had done and hadn't done for them. I felt like a piece of shit... and they made a point of telling me I was.
I kept trying to say I was sorry but I couldn't. They kept shouting at me.
I twitched awake, still in my room.
3. My Grandmother (perhaps the most frightening of all)
I thought I was awake but then my grandmother came into the room, twitching horribly like some animated puppet. She was howling and clawing at my walls, where her fingers ran down the paint began peeling off and soon the walls were dripping with paint. It was the surreality of it all that made me jerk awake again.
4. An old Love
I woke up. The room was dark as I had left it when I wandered back to bed. I rolled over and put an arm around the person next to me only when they turned I realized it wasn't who I thought it was. I panicked and asked, "How the hell did you get in here?! Where is he? If you hurt him I'll fucking kill you!". He lunged at me.
Twitched awake again.
5. Mom and my Friend
I thought I was awake so I got up, got dressed, went downstairs. Mom was upset with me for having my friend stay over and she was shouting at me about that. I was embarassed about having an argument with my mom in front of this person, so as I grabbed my backpack I kind of snapped and shouted, "Just shut up! All of you just shut up!" They both looked at me in shock so I added, "I'm sorry, I just had a weird night and all these dreams... oh shit..." Their faces distorted as they laughed at me and my realization.
I woke up... finally... I think. Sometimes I think my subconscious just likes fucking with my emotions for shits and giggles.

Lost on Liberty Road
I was driving down Liberty Road with my friend Kyle in my truck. He was the one behind the wheel and we were talking about relationships, people we loved, and trans-related stuff and I said at one point,
"I just don't know what to do."
Kyle stopped the truck in the middle of the road. It was night and it was just one long stretch of road. He smiled and said, "Well, we're here. I guess this is 'goodnight' then." I felt I should get out but I was confused as to why. Once I shut the door he drove off. So, I just stood on the side of the road, in the dark, feeling like I should be somewhere but I didn't know which way to go. It was just like that night I got lost on Liberty Road (and ended up in Possomville Pike... I shit you not.)
I felt lost and confused and abandoned. I didn't know if I should try to find Dylan's house or go home. I desperately wanted to go home but I didn't know which way was East or West and I was tired. My feet felt like lead. It was so dark and everything looked the same. It started raining, so, I just sat down on the side of the road.
Woke up and realized my pillow was wet from crying. That must've been the rain. :\

Don't Lose Your Head
Well, it started out weird. I was really afraid that my head was going to fall off. It kept wobbling and I had to hold it in place but then an old friend from high school put his hands around my neck and very lovingly, seductively whispered in my ear, "Don't lose your head." and I just suddenly felt this overwhelming sense of safety and love. That's about it... oh and then we had sex but then he turned into someone else as the dream began to fade and get all wonky.
I'm guessing he was in my dream because he reminds me of someone. The last time I saw this friend he had longish hair and a goatee.

I'M A FREAKING EAGLE watch me soar.
Two days ago, awesome lucid dream... okay... wow. I need to keep up with this blog more. Sorry, Jesse! >_>
Anywho. I was wandering in a sort of National Forest with lots of cliffs and a waterfall. So vivid. Nothing really bizarre that tipped me off I just sort of realized I was dreaming. So, what do I do? I hurl myself off the nearest cliff shouting, "I'M AN EAGLE. I CAN FLY." And I do.
I swooped low beside the waterfall that looked at least 4 stories tall. I was inches from the surface of the water pooling at the base of the cliff. I reached out to touch it as I glided over and saw my fingers had turned into feathers. I soared over the vivid landscape as the sun set and the trees... oh man... gold and red and lovely.
I flew over them. What was cool was my perception of height. It was so realistic and vivid. I could see through the branches to the forest floor below. Then I shot straight up, higher, higher, higher... it got chilly and the air got thin so I leveled out and rode the wind currents between the clouds. As I passed through them I felt the soft dewy moisture hit my face.
It was a somewhat short dream but it was intense and it was lucid. So cool.

Dancing on the Bay and Playing Chess with the Gods
Haven't really had any notable dreams lately or I just haven't bothered to write them up on here. This last weekend I had a lot of strange dreams that all sort of blended together. A few of them were rather Freudian/Jungian (I prefer the latter style of interpretation) so I thought I'd add this one.
WARNING: Like most of my dreams tend to be, rather gory, rather dark. At least this one starts out that way but it gets better. :)
So, last night...
I was lost in a dark alleyway. It was very dark and dirty and grimy. I was stumbling around and felt awful. I was trying to run and hide from a man who was looking for me. I knew that if he found me he'd probably beat me or worse. My mouth hurt. Apparently he had kicked me in the mouth. I hid in a brick doorway. Suddenly my teeth started falling out. It was really horrifying. I could actually feel them get loose in my mouth and then I'd spit them out. I started sobbing loudly… at this point I really didn’t care if he found me.
Someone touched my shoulder and I realized there was a tall gentleman standing beside me. He wore nice clean clothing but his black hair was wild, long and messy. It was easily waist-length. I couldn’t see his face but the moon behind his head made him look so ethereal. Then he spoke in the softest loveliest voice and I realized he was actually a woman,
“Why are you crying, love?”
She felt very familiar but I couldn't see and or I don’t remember her face.
I couldn’t talk so I showed her my bloody hands with my lost teeth. Her gloved hand caressed my face, “Ah, I see. I shall have to give you new ones.”
She gently pulled me up and drew me to her chest. I felt her stroke my hair and then felt her bite my neck. It didn’t hurt at all, just sort of felt damp like a gentle hickie. She pulled back and smiled, revealing a mouthful of bloody needle-sharp teeth and a jaw line that was too wide to be human. Sort of like a monkfish. I still found her to be lovely.
“How do you like them?”
I felt my new teeth and found them to be like hers. She took my hand, kissed it, and said,
“Let’s go dancing on the bay.”
We were floating up over the roof tops, walking on air. Unlike most of my flying dreams, it felt effortless. We drifted over the water and she wound an arm around my waist whispering,
“Don’t be afraid.”
We flew over the water, waltzing inches above it as it glimmered with city lights. The water was so dark. I began to sink into it and fear seized me.
“It so dark! It’s going to swallow me! Please help.”
She just floated above me, smiling.
“Silly, the darkness can’t swallow you… you are the darkness.”
It sounds all metaphorical now but it made sense in the dream. I was literally terrified I’d melt into the water and cease to exist. It’s hard to explain… it wasn’t just water, it was like liquefied darkness.
I rose back up and she took my hand. We danced some more and then wandered towards the docks. She told me to run and when I asked what was wrong she said,
“Nothing. They’re chasing me again and I think this time I’ll let them catch me.”
A bunch of men with torches came around the corner. I got really upset and tried to drag her with me but she was totally resigned to her fate, like she wanted it. She told me it was my turn. So, I ran and looked behind me to see them setting her on fire as she just stood there, perfectly still.
The dream sort of shifted though the plot of it stayed loosely intact. I came to a fenced field and rested against it. Loki from the film Thor (the way he looked) was sitting on the fence. I saw other people out in the field. Lightning and fireballs went back and forth between the people and yet they were all laughing and having fun… like ultimate Frisbee only with fireballs.
“What’s going on out there?” I asked.
He patted the fence next to him so I climbed up and sat beside him,
“The Gods are playing chess. Would you like to join?”
“But I’m not a god.”
“You are now.” When he said that I realized I was dreaming, remembered that I could fly and so flew across the field, dodging fireballs, ice shards, etc. It was actually a lot of fun. I came back to the fence and Loki asked me if I wanted to go to the chocolate shop. So we did and there were shelves and shelves of really cool-looking chocolates. The shelves themselves arched over the ceiling of the store (defying gravity, the chocolate stayed on them). At this point things just got more and more bizarre and I don’t remember too much beyond that point.
